vaccum hose help, egr issue

I have had a egr issue since i bought my truck and i just noticed a issue and was seeing if someone can tell me where my vaccum hose is wrong.
Its 3.0

You should have a vacuum diagram under your hood. Follow that and make sure your lines are routed properly. Also, make sure your vacuum lines are in good shape and not dry rotted.

I was going off that and it doesnt show anything about the hose that is blocked off. Since there is tape on it im sure someone blocked it off.

Oh... Check the rest of your vacuum lines and make sure that they all correspond with that diagram. If everything else checks out then I wouldn't worry about it. That could have been an additional vacuum port for another market or something that was used on a prior year 4runner.

I just went and looked at mine, and it looks the same. That same line has a cap on it.

Just took a look at mine and it's blocked off the same. IMO could be an aux port.

All the hoses are all correct and this was the only part that looked like it was wrong so i guess back to square one. Maybe i will look for a actual cap that fits it since this one looks crappy.

Im throwing a code 71.

Well i realized the plug that was plugging that thing had a hole in it so i put a new thing on and check engone light still came on for 71 anything else i should try?

Did ya clear the codes? The service manual on top of the page has a great trouble shooting guide for codes in it.

Ya i cleared it and it came back about 15 miles down road.
