Vacuum vs electric actuator on E-locker

Hi guys,
I have a line on a rear diff with the factory E locker from a 99 4Runner. Id be installing it on my 2001. I can also get the matching front diff. Just looking through some of the posts I cant find a concrete answer on whats involved with the front swap as supposedly the models up thru 00 use vacuum actuators for the front diff versus 01 and 02 using electric actuators. If anyone has done this swap and or is familiar with what goes into it for the front, let me know. as Id hate to run into a square peg round hole situation. Thanks, Nik

Just move your ADD actuator to the new diff. It is a bolt-on operation.

Are you expecting the front to also be a locking diff? Or did you mean matching as in the gear ratio?

Did it last week on 01. Had a vacuum type front diff built, all I did was swap actuator from the one I pulled out.
