has anyone had any experience with this trail before? a really small group of us decided last minute to check out and scout this trail for a possible meet in the future. We'll be headed out around noonish to explore abit. I would like to open the invite to anyone that would like to join, especially those that are located in SD. I spoke to the person that created this video and from what it seems like high clearance/4wd is a must. This is BLM land as well, so we may include some extracurricular activities.:uzi:

it's a trail down in San Diego off the 8.

I always wanted to check this out and take my boys. My rig could handle a lot, found out this weekend at Calico run, but this might be too much. Looks really cool!

it was a fun trail, pretty tight space, high clearance def. required and can get pretty technical depending on which path you take. We didn't get to explore as much as we wanted due to our time frame.. and someone oversleeping. lol, That place has alot to explore, a few good camp spots.. it is near the border though so i wouldn't roll solo or unprotected, we didn't see BP out there till we exited the trail. You can enter through the OLD HWY 80 side or off the 8 near In-Ko-Pah park Rd. I am hoping to go back sometime soon to explore some more! Hopefully the guys that went with me will have pics/vids up soon.

we exited right off the 8 where there's a cheveron/shell and drove into the trail from the old 80 side. Maybe will try the 8 next time. As far as being stock height i wouldn't risk it unless you don't mind banging up stuff and testing stock skids lol

I've been there before. High clearance is good, but if you pick your lines right a stock rig could do it. I did it before I had skids.

It is a neat area. If you get up into moon valley the border 'fence' is just a small barbed wire fence. There are sensors and camera's that BP uses so they'll know your there.

I'd be up to go again. It gets warm but not as hot as Anza Borrego.

yeah we were trippin' out about the "fence" border and how close we were to mexico. Good to know there's some surveillance out there, at one point we felt pretty isolated and lost.. It was pretty hot when we went, but had a nice breeze. If you ever feel like going, let me know man! i'd like to explore abit more.
