Valuation Request

Hi!

I am not exactly sure where to post this, so please forgive me if this is the wrong place.

I am curious about valuing my 2016 Limited Magnetic Grey with the Redwood interior. Never toyed with it or upgraded anything, just a pavement pounder. I am the original buyer.

My question is mainly due to having only 57K miles on the vehicle and having an extended Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement that goes till June 2024 with 125k mile coverage.

I doubt any dealership I took it to would care at all, but to a private buyer that can put the warranty in the their name it could be valuable.

Does anyone have any opinion on this?

KBB sucks, and edmunds sucks. NADA is a pretty good valuation tool. I use Cargurus, VROOM, Carvana to get an idea of true market value. Some of those extended warranties and service contracts you can cancel and get a pro-rated refund for, but some buyers would find value in them.

KBB is owned by Cox Automotive who is in the business of selling cars. Carmax, another large car seller, owns Edmunds. I take both of them with a grain of salt.

Used vehicles are only worth what someone is willing to pay you, for your vehicle, mostly in the area in which you live.
What we as owners think our truck is worth is irrelevant.
Same can be said for all of the books and websites that give you "values" for vehicles.

Example: my wife HATES silver cars. She has happily payed more for the exact car that was NOT silver. To her, silver requires a significant discount for her to even give a silver a passing thought....
