Valve adjustment

So, i just was looking at some specs for general maintenance on the 05 4runner V8 4wd, and at 65k service it says to adjust valves. It takes(or pays 7hrs). Have has anyone ever had that done, and is it worth it? I Have the chart that goes with the adjustments, but it looks like some big math problem. Have you guy ever had problem with the Valve clearance?
