Valve cover leak ?

Hey guys. I have a leak in the valve cover. I'm going to replace both gaskets. I also figured this is a good time to change the pugs and wires. Don't really need to but I don't know how old they are and I would feel better knowing new ones are on there. How long should this take?

All depends on your level of experience and access to the right tools (air tools help). Could take 45 minutes, could take half the day.

Just did this job, along with waterpump, checked valves, camshaft seals, rear seal, radiator, timing belt, belts, rad hoses, etc this week to my 4Runner...first time working on a 5VZ for me and my dad[Mercedes mechanic] too so it took a little longer than it should have...but we also did a lot more than just valve cover seals.

Also there are rubber grommets around where the plugs go into on the valve cover, you may want to replace those too...mine weren't leaking but they were rock hard so we just did that too.

If its your first time doing it and only with hand tools I'd say about 2-4 hours. It could be quicker but I would put that amount of time aside.
I believe there are either some half moon or full round plugs on the back side of the head. Like a cam plug or something, I would resell them while your in there with some fipg.
Also put some shop rags on or tape over intake holes so nothing falls in them.

Took me about 6-7 hours, but I changed the plugs while I was in there like you're going to do, and it took so much longer because I was teaching some local teens how to do maintenance on a car.I could see you doing it in 4 hours.
