Portals are fun but heavy, I have seen them bend a frame from the weight...
Trying to decide spacer height for the taco front setup, 2.25 to be safe or 2.5 to make sure get what I want height wise...

I fall into the "go full height like you want" category. But I've done several stages too because of money. Would be so much cheaper to do it all at once the first time, but where's the fun in that!?
Wow! Bent frames! That's crazy. Portals would be cool, but lowest gear ratio I've found is 6:17 which would be so far past what I need unless building a full mega truck it would be useless. 1 tons can be found cheap, and then built up over time. If I could find some 1 tons with matching 4:33 - 5:38 gears for less than $2500 I'd be in hog heaven! Granted I had the money to purchase them.... Lol
I need to learn how to do gear changes...

Well said **** it, had no money after buying the Trd Tacoma setup but decided on 2.5" front and 1.5" rear, had the bushings for rear Tacoma stuff, and both front and rear lift in Amazon cart. They had the Amazon credit card 70 dollar instant reward and have excellent credit so applied and got t, used the 70 dollar card and paid 12 bucks for my lift total for complete lift is now under 90 bucks
Will rock stock tires and measured my 110k suspension is low and have negative cv angles so... Came in at 18 3/4 front from cent Er of rim and 21" rear from center. Stock is around 21 and 24 IIRC. Should go up to around 23 1/2 or 24 which is what most get from 3" in front and hoping for similar in rear if I don't like will look for FJ rears or Landcruiser fronts for the res and retain spacers...
2 items were not prime so will be a bit I'm sure. Also got return on my scion radio from individual on eBay so will have that to play with as well may order ball joints with that and do it all at once. FYI will cancel the Amazon card once it comes in as they gave me best rate but it's still 14% have no need for a card that high by wanted that 70 dollar coupon

CB is installed need to tap the power and ground tonight will run an additional ground as well. Would have finished last night but was going to buy the two 90degree angles, one for antenna coax and one for the 4pin mic but said screw it and just angled it in the center console and I like it more. Can see everything and have easy access to it all as well. Will do a hard mount on opposite side for my .40 as well and be ready for camping and trail rides
Rear lift arrives tonight, bushings for rear shocks and front spacer both shipped today so should have by Friday
May be riding high with dwindlage - small tires - after this weekend lol just priced out the P rated AT/W3 Falkins at 670 to my door for 285/70/17 and like them as the P rated they only weigh 44 pounds and are 3 ply.... I prefer the 3 ply over the LT 10 ply for the lighter weight and the flotation on sand over what most others offer. The 44lb weight is very nice as will be easier on wheel bearings and help gas mileage stay around the same. Not sold on the tread yet though want super aggressive but money! Good thing not buying tires yet as that price point is hard to beat for 285's, some CB pics, first how I left it and now the last few at the angle.

Busy ass week, no launches till 4th November so we have been "testing,scanning, and ..." busy at the Cape and KSC - I have been a busy bee... Anyway, few pics from some of the range/launch/stuff.
Followed by a little spot I found on side of the road - washout and I wanted to see what ATRAC was all about - definitely forgot how good it works, very happy if patient works great.
A pic of the result of a mishap - my Meguires Plastix fell in the radiator shroud, couldn't get it so was going to get it - guess I don't have to now just need to clean up...
Lift is all at the house except for the rear bottom shock eyelets so it's waiting, hope not too long but at least till i can afford the alignment may look silly on lift and stock tires for a while
Anyway, pics:

Got a few minutes this morning, added a local 4Runner group sticker, well 2, and then got my paperwork for my tags so added them, that was no easy task...
And broken extracter...
Got distracted, sticker- didn't want it getting rubbed by wiper so off to the right.
After that mowed the yard, weed-eated, wired in the CB and tested - need to tune it and I went ahead and added a second ground - and then went back to the plates.
Had to remove the inner panel in the back, and just drilled it out and put some smaller bolts and washers on it. Whatever expecting a new tag next year in the spring and will do a nice plate surround and better bolts then. It works for now

Stupid bench vise busted doing this:
Have a ballpoint setup will go ahead and remove the 2nd one, one is done and one just pushed the seal out was starting and vise busted lmao decided enough for tonight early morning of work tomorrow and taking the wife's Heep in for some warranty work after lunch. Not comms are up need an swr meter but was talking with rigs going by on local interstate no problem

Thanks for the like on 4Runners.com! I noticed you had the same thought as I did with the factory Tacoma suspension. Are you going to use the factory Tacoma rear suspension on your 4Runner?

2 1/2 hours of blues! Color takes a long damn time! Around 14 hours into it so far, this is 3rd session and it goes under the arm more pics if wanted but this is the gyst of the work today

Yeap that's why I was pushing the tacoma bushing out to put the poly bushings in, cost around 7 bucks to convert the rear shocks to be used and give around 2 more inches of rear travel

Nope Paul Wren, little known fact longest running artist in Brevard 38 years, and majority of the "good guys" in this area apprenticed under him
. Owner of Old Ghost in downtown Melboure lots and lots more color coming and then will start my "dark" side which is tribute to my 16 years of military, WA, combat, loss of 29 brothers etc. didn't want the dark half sleeve done when the baby was too young though. Already have it mapped out in my head will do rougher drawing and let him go crazy with it like I did with this one

Looks very similar to what Deano does. He specializes in marine life. I'm not even sure where he is based out of, but that work immediately made me think of him.
If you're getting a lot of coverage, just make sure to plan! I personally think it looks best when it's all uniform and of similar styles. I'd go back and do it all over again if I could for all of my own work.

Several on my back, right leg, other arm, and this was a coverup that I had one Pico session with of two portraits of my older kids, but had another one and didn't want portraits all down my arm lol. When I was younger and much bigger - played Rugby for the Air Force Team and got a really bad injury, have 5 plates, 23 screws and a wire mesh that holds my eye in place - my eustation tube got messed up and I can't really dive below one atmosphere, so I have this as it was seriously one of my favorite things to do. I still free dive, but haven't went below 30ft since 2009. In all honesty that rugby injury changed what I'm doing as well, I was all set up to get out of the military and go to commercial diving academy to be an underwater welder, instead stayed in the IT/Comm field and it has worked out pretty good. As for different styles, that's the idea, the left side is close to my heart and is the positive and light things in my life. The right side is the cold, dark, but pride filled side when it's all done. Will tell the story of light and dark and the demon within. "These things I do, so others may live"

Haha in due time! I have the lift sitting here but can't install it as can't afford an alignment much less tires! Headers will be mated to stick exhaust for a while once I get them more than likely due to funds as well!
In all honesty if I wasn't working on the tattoo, I would have gotten the loft on, alignment, ball joints, upper control arms, and tires by now
. Priorities I guess. Once finished should have more pennies to throw at it.Header install is the part that'll hurt. It's like $1100-$1400 for install. My shop built my whole dual exhaust, including muffler, for $550 after that. Wish you were closer, I'd come help with the lift!Haha in due time! Well for me header cost is the big thing! I have made headers and exhaust, this is my daily so I will install myself and hope to make a mandrel bent modular x pipe that I put together with v-bands
I will get a good x-pipe setup and probably a URD Y pipe and mod it then coat the welds. Probably have 10 hours or so into my x-pipe and will put v-bands on the headers before I install, then make the bends to where I want and tack weld in place remove and cut v-bands into it to make it truly modular and all stainless. I live in Florida now but wife wants to move in next 4-5 years and I plan on having 10 years or more so will make it so I can throw cats on if we move to a green state! She's a Grand Rapids graduate, graduated from high school there and college as well thought I'd mention since your in Michigan!Have it all mapped out in my head, and one of the projects I'm looking very forward to to be honest
sold my good welder a while back so will go to my buddies house when it's time. But I will probably make a roof rack before I tackle the headers only need tube, a better bender, and new blade to made the cuts for the rackAnyway all things in the future I look forward to!
