Vegas: 2012 Trail build thread

I especially like the bottle opener. :high5:
Thanks! My favorite part too.
Is that work bench top really an old door covered with a piece of steel? If so, talk about repurposing stuff :thumb3:
Yeah it's a soild core door I picked up at my local habatit for humanity store... Super heavy and makes a great bench top by itself for $20... But I thought throwing some 10 gauge steel on it would make it fun to hammer on:bash:
Nice welds Ramsey! Did you do those?
Kind praise coming from my favorite fabricator :thumb:

yeah I picked up a new hobby during the hottest time of the year here... I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and read a lot of tips on the welding forms... Still a long way to go and lots to learn but it's a lot of fun.

You are an inspiration man! You went from a noob to a legitimate handy-man! Thanks for sharing your experiences! Keep up the good work!

Happy 10K service day!

I know you think I am crazy but I told them last time to please not
Wash it and they still did... and two local 4runner friends told me the same story that they still washed it after they asked them not too... So I tried this approach well see if it works.

I was tempted to follow Antman's how to oil change thread with lots of fun pics but I couldn't say no to a freeeeee oil change :happy bda

They've tried to wash mine twice and I headed them off before they got to the station. I too, have a sign on my dash as well as a note on the paperwork.

I have a nice scratch down the side of my truck courtesy of Jay Wolfe Toyota in Kansas City, Mo.

Thanks for making me feel less crazy! Last time he wrote it on the paperwork then came over to me 10 mins later and said "sorry I was too late to stop them from washing it...but I'll make sure they do a good job."
Next time ask them to put some gas in it

No Gas = No joy riding
J/k that actually wasn't planned

Are those 33"s on the stock wheels? Just wondering because I wanna lift my rig and do the wheels/tires later.

They are 285's on the stock wheels... I think if you look a few pages back you can see pics of my truck with the lift on and the stock 265 size so you can get an idea of what yours will look like.

Good looking rig.

There is one like yours in North Las Vegas that looks just like yours minus the roof rack and ladder. I'm not sure if he is on this forum though.

Are your Bud Built sliders straight out or angled up? I'm trying to choose which ones to get and it's hard to tell from pictures how far they stick out past the stock tires and rims. It looks like your bump outs stick out past the tires, but I'm wondering if that it because yours are straight out instead of up.
