I know its not riding but I have some friends coming into town this weekend and plan on going out to shoot near Sloan by the lake bed if anyone is interested in joining. Not sure which day yet but it will most likely be mid morning/early afternoon that we go.

[MENTION=112774]TRDPRORUNNER[/MENTION] we had talked about meeting up at one of the picnic areas in Lake Mead NRA a few weeks ago (see post above). Would be great to meet up and introduce ourselves and then do one of the trails above (covers all levels). We were thinking of running #3 Boathouse Cove, but #4 Bitter Springs Byway would be great for pictures (runs just south of Valley of Fire) if folks were willing to set aside a half day or so.

Thanks Howard35... This is great info. I'm not sure what sort of time everyone has on that day. Can all parties chime in on whether you have say 2 hours to hang or a half day. I personally would like to do what you said... meet up, maybe eat a sub or burgers (if time) then do this.. whether shoot first, then ride or ride and find a good spot half way through, etc. Also depends on if we want clean trucks to shoot before or do a dusty shoot or both. I don't have a pref.. whatever works for the group, here.

Ha, yea I was referring to shooting... aka putting holes in stuff and blowing stuff up, not photography in this case! No worries!

Looks like probably Saturday morning is when I am going. Planning on hitting the lake bed. I lied its near Jean - the lake bed where I go, not Sloan. Link below if anyone thinks they may want to join. Not planning any offroading on this run for me, just some good ole shooting with some friends, then heading back towards civilization.

Can we all commit to say a 9 meet up, then shoot at around 9:30a or 10a for a bit, then either split up or ride together from there? Trying to make it work for all here. Maybe we should keep the photo locale simple so people can get to it quickly and leave quickly if they have to. Say, the Caves or RedRock? Then hit the trail wherever the remaining group wants to go? Chime in guys... need some help here as far as your availability and thoughts on it to pull it off effectively. I'm open that day and can do even earlier if the group can. Thanks...

ComradeVlad, can we prop you up w/ a pot of coffee? I want your TRD there if at all possible. You can shoot and split immediately if need be.

Another idea since that day I'm wide open, is I can be available for a window from say 8a-11a for photos... whatever we can pull together (hopefully as many together as possible)
then split up or ride after... May be the best option.

Same here... but morning would be preferable.

Red Rock would be great for pictures, but I'm not familiar with many trails out there, except rocky gap road. We could run the east side out of red rock and back but the second half (west side) is pretty rough. [MENTION=98080]808[/MENTION]g18 and I tried the west side of rock gap a month or so ago and decided to turn around after I damaged my rear bumper then the road got even more rough and washed out.

East side up and back can pretty much be run stock and it makes a nice relatively short and scenic trip.

We ran out of time for the 15th and 1 or 2 couldn't make that date...so we are on for Saturday 11/22 somewhere between 8:30a-11a for the shoot. It's looking like RedRock is best by default. People know where it is. It's not too far for most and If guys need to cut out after the shoot, they are closer to the city. I'll go out in the next couple of days and find the exact spot whether IN the RedRock loop or outside of it with the surrounding terrain. Need to make sure it works for 6-12 trucks.

Basically, I'd like to shoot the following: (Your input is encouraged here, so If you have a great shot idea... bring it up!)

1. Some group shots of as many T4R's as we can get together in one shot from a few different angles. (bringing a folding ladder for high angles)

2. Any other cool combos that we collectively think of. (Won't know until we see who shows up.)

3. TRD's together (Since no Infernos...we can do a Black/white TRD face-off shot or whatever)

4. If time, I'll try to snap a few of each of your trucks individually so you get those too. (think about what you'd want in case we have time)

When we're done shooting, you're free to split or join in a ride TBD. The East side of that trail sounds alright if good for all.

Awesome! Good idea... Let's all meet at the top of the RedRock Casino parking lot on Saturday 11/22. Morning timeframe will become more clear day by day... stay tuned!
