Putting a feeler out. when I ordered my Baja Rack the company sent me the wrong rack and sent me the full length utility rack. Needless to say it was damaged in shipping. The good news anyone who has remotely any kind of fabricating skills can fix this thing easy there are two bent bars towards the front of the rack that could easily be fixed and bent back or re welded on. I am waiting till I get the green light from the company that I'm free to dispose of this rack, since they will be getting there claim money from the shipper.
Willing to let this $900 rack go for $300 comes with all the mounting hardware and bolts. I would hit Baja Rack up for a new fairing but outside of this Anyone who takes this to a fab shop can get this bad boy fixed and ready for use easily. You could also cut the portion from the sunroof forward and use this as a flat utility rack with no fairing, it's be a low profile flat rack.

So we ran a couple trails up there last, there's a lot of little trails that we're going to have to explore next time, I like the tight spot, roof scraping, wedged in, 3wheelin stuff!

Finally got some tires, Cooper ST Maxx in 255/80-17. I hope I don't regret the thinner tire over 285s!
Out of curiosity, why did you choose 255's instead of 265 or 285?

I spent several months debating all three sizes, and even 275/70-17s. There are several threads and articles about 'pizza cutter' tires, and I liked what I read about them. With 285s I assumed that I would need to do the body mount chop, and didn't want to mess with that. These tires are just over 32" cold. So far, no rubbing, but they haven't been flexed and have only 50 miles on them.
With that said, anyone wheeling 2/16?

So on a wider view, I just moved here from Portland and just bought a new T4R Trail. I'm looking to get new off road tires for my rig and get out on some trails. What suggestions do you have for tires? I've been looking at Toyo R/T's and Nitto Terra Graplers; Nitto's are substantially more affordable. Just looking for some input and suggestions from you folks. Thanks!
Also, do I need an aftermarket lift (Icon, Toytec, etc.)?

You can decide A/T, M/T,or hybrid tires. I've had Wrangler MT/Rs and NittoTGs, both E rated, on my cruiser, and really liked them both. I like the comfort and noise better on the A/T over the M/T though. The ST Maxx is considered a Hybrid, but there is a noticeable hum. Check out also Nitto TG 2's. My local Discount tire had several truck tires on display. There is also a Tire Mart on Losee, so you see other tire offerings in person.

If you stay stock size or even 275/70-17, you shouldn't need a lift.

As I pulled out of a stall after work I felt a slight hump and this happened, tire went flat. Someone must've envied my ride and rigged my tire.
And here I am at Discount Tire for a flat repair, only to find out that the puncture is too large to repair. So I'll be having a brand new tire on this Monday when it comes in. Oh and it was time for balance and rotation.
