I'm going to hold off on the Bittersprings run. With NASCAR in town, 15 is going to be a nightmare.

Is there a time and a location for Sunday?

I'd be in for a run on this Sunday (3/8). Maybe we can run a trail on south end of the valley to avoid the NASCAR traffic? In the past we usually have met up around 9am, but Im flexable.

I'm not sure I'm ready for Rocky Gap yet, last attempt for me was a fail and I think there are several others that are stock so maybe something more stock friendly?

I was searching on offeoadtrailguide.com and found a trail that I've been eyeballing for a while. Starts just outside of cal-nev ari and heads to the river or lake mojave. From there we can catch a power line back to cottonwood cove rd or continue on to Nelson. Thoughts?

[MENTION=108126]budsrunner[/MENTION] - are you referring to the empire wash trail (NPS22) and take the Mead-Davis powerline road back to Cottonwood Cove? That would work for me. As an alternate suggestion there are also two other trails that run out of searchlight/cottonwood cove road that I've been wanting to try.

Here is a brief summary of the trails (from the Nevada Trails book) running from there-

1. Empire Wash Trail (NPS 22); 16.7 miles each way, 1.25 hours each way, difficulty rating 3. [runs out of Cal-Nev-Ari]

2. Copper Mountain Trail (NPS 32/34); 7.8 miles (each way), 45 min (each way) difficulty rating 5. Connects to Opal Mountain Trail via Rockefeller Mine
Rd (NPS 32) so they can all be ran together. [starts off of cottonwood cove road as NPS 32]

3. Opal Mountain Rd (NPS 33); 10.5 miles (each way), 1 hour (each way), difficulty 4.

We could start out running Empire Wash and the Powerline Rd back to cottonwood cove and then if folks still feel up to more wheeling we can run the other two trails?

Doing a couple trips the next few weekends if anyone is interested.

This Saturday Wheelers Pass to Pahrump, I live in Summerlin so Prob going to roll out at 10am, taking the Cold Creek Rd/Wheelerspass road way into Pahrump.

Next Saturday the 21st Delamar Ghost Town up by Caliente Nevada. Pretty sweet Ghost/Mining town with cool buildings and sites. Once I get more firm info I will post meet up times ect.

Yep I will be going with Jeff, he's an awesome fabricator made my Tundra Front bumper that thing was a piece of art may see if he will build me for my 4runner.
