So I have searched and couldn't find the answer to my question. I am doing some rust repair work on my frame, however I live in BC where it constantly rains. I only have a few days to complete the work. I am going to be using Eastwood's rust encapsulator and am wanting to topcoat with VHT chassis paint. On the VHT website, it says the paint dries to touch in 30 minutes and dries completely over night, and does not require curing. My problem is my 4runner is my DD and I am going to have to drive it shortly after painting, and it will likely be raining out.
Does anyone know if it is okay to get the paint wet a day or two after painting the frame? I have found some people saying you have to let it cure for 7 days after painting, which I absolutely do not have time for. Why does it say on the website there is no curing needed but some people are saying you need 7 days? Would I be better off just not top coating the Eastwood paint for now?
