Vibrating and clucking sound when I accelerate

So I have a 1999 TOYOTA 4Runner and it started with light vibration on the truck but it's gotten worse over time where it feels like it's about to break apart. It stops when I let the gas pedal go but starts back up when I accelerate again. It also makes a clucking sound like if two metals were hitting each other when I accelerate. The vibrating is at any speed from 10mph to highway speeds. Any ideas please help!! I was thinking motor mounts or cv axle?

Sounds like a U joint to me check those first. Put it on flat ground in neutral with the e-brake on. Turn the drive shaft back and forth and look for movement at each joint.
