Vibrating Trunk Compartment Panels

Hey all,

Last year I had to replace the JBL woofer on my '03 4Runner Limited. I'm a firm believer that once the "factory installed" interior body panels are removed, they are never quite the same. Sure enough, I can no longer take the vibrating interior panels in the trunk.

Anyone have any tricks/tips/pointers on reducing the vibration of the panels? Due to the headache of removing the panels, would prefer to avoid having to do so.

Thin velco strips? Clear silicone caulk between the panels?

I feel your pain. Going over certain bumps will cause some squeaking and rattling coming from my cargo area. Though I have not tried it myself, I've read spraying some silicone spray where the panels meet might help out a little. Its almost like PB blaster or WD40 but not greasy and its odorless. Rub it in with a rag and it should provide some relief.
