2000 2WD V6 130k. Had a shudder when braking so thought it was my front rotors. Replaced them and new pads but still had it. Almost feels like a brake slightly sticking. More pronounced if you quickly let off the brake and then slightly reapply. Feel it in the steering wheel but its not side to side, more of a "shudder". Pulled the wheels off and rotated the tires FL to RR and RF to LR (wanted to move back to front and also left to right to reverse tread wear), no change. Pull the drums off to check the shoes and one side had oil (not bad but obvious oil seal leak). Fixed seal and replaced shoes and also new drums, no change. So next was to replace the front calipers, no change. Now I'm thinking next is wheel hub bearings? The bearings make a slight scratchy/crunchy sound when spun (no 12-6 movement in wheel when wiggled) . Or rear brake cylinder maybe slow to release but it really feels like it's up front. No strange noises to speak of. Everything appears to be tight in the suspension...
I also unplugged the ABS fuse (since it almost feels like ABS shudder) to see if that made and difference and it didn't. Put fuse back in and ABS appears to function correct.
Hate taking it in to a mechanic...lol.
Any thoughts...insight...suggestions...
