Victory 4x4 Full Length Roof Rack Product Review

So I figured since I was I think the 2nd person to receive and install this rack I would give a review of it. I apologize for not taking un boxing pictures as I didn't think to cover everything for doing a review. If anyone has additional questions also I will try to answer as best as I can.

Communication: 10/10
When I initally started looking into Victory 4x4 as an option I reached out to Cam aka Victory 4x4 on here and he promptly answered all my questions. He asked me to reach out to sales and work through them for my final order which included the full length roof rack, front bumper, front skid, and rear molle panel. I received and paid my invoice on May 6th and was told there was a roughly 10-15 business day turnaround on shipping. Both my phone and email communication with sales was fast, all my PMs and emails were answered same day from the forums and Victory.

Shipping: 10/10
The rack came in a single box. All the parts were shrink wrapped to hell and back, they use that molded packing material to secure everything, etc. I had 0 scratches or issues with shipping. Both my front bumper and skid came the same way.

Turnaround: 10/10
Order was placed May 6th and I received my shipping notice on May 22nd, so roughly 13 business days was the timeframe for delivery. I also received my shipping notice on everything at once, so my shipping might of been slightly delayed due to the bumper, skid, or molle panel.

Fit and Finish: 10/10
No issues at all here. Everything had a perfect powder coat, following the youtube video online it all fit together perfectly. The front and rear fairing post install can be removed with no issues, I climbed on top of the rack once installed with no problem. The install legs mated up to the 4Runner install points perfectly.

Install: 10/10
Nothing much to say here, their youtube video on the racks webpage shows the process to put the rack together and install it pretty much perfectly. No issues getting it together, just had my neighbor help me get it on the roof. The rack used the factory locations for mounting the middle and rear mounts, the front mounts rest on the vehicle via rubber boots that you can see in the pic below and an additional pic in the 3rd post.

Post Install Issues
So, the issues that I had with the rack.
1. They provided 2 screws that install into the 4Runner that didn't fit.
2. The weather strip was zip tied so tightly it bent the weather strip badly.
3. The front support legs wouldn't touch the vehicle.

Resolution
I ran into the issues above on Monday night, I PM'd Cam later that night, by roughly 8:20am the next morning he had replied and informed me he was taking my pictures and reaching out to his tech group to see how to resolve the main issue which was the front support legs. My original sales guy from the order called me later in the day and immediately shipped out 2 new screws (Had some standard screws get mixed in with the metric) and a new weather strip. I was told at that time that they were re-designing the front mount to provide more variance on the mounting height. I received the new front mounting brackets on Saturday.

So on Monday night I had issues with 2 screws, the weatherstrip, and the front mounts not touching the vehicle. It took less than 24 hours to get all 3 issues addressed, and all parts were replaced/resolved by Saturday.

Final Thoughts
Overall I am very satisfied with Victory's products and customer support. Being roughly the 2nd person I know of that installed this and having a couple issues doesn't concern me, Victory's extremely quick response to resolve my issues to me was the real test for me and they passed with flying colors.

The front mounts have rubber boots you install on the mount and the rubber boot rest on the roof. No holes are cut or drilled. The middle and rear mounts go into the factory locations. I actually had my clearbra guy install a 12 inch clearbra strip on the front, and a 6 inch strip on the rear for where I have the mounts and fairing resting on the vehicle.

I intentionally put it on the roof with the weatherstrip, it can be adjusted to not sit on the roof. I had a clearbra put on the roof running back 12 inches to protect the paint from it resting there.

The fairing rests on the roof by design. If it is adjusted up away from the roof, it will contact the roof at high speeds, so to prevent that, it is adjusted all the way down to prevent flexing. We include the edge trim to protect the paint, but as an extra procaution, you can also do what [MENTION=140792]halflife78[/MENTION] did and add clear paint protecting vinyl beneath it as well.

The fairing rests on the roof by design. If it is adjusted up away from the roof, it will contact the roof at high speeds, so to prevent that, it is adjusted all the way down to prevent flexing. We include the edge trim to protect the paint, but as an extra procaution, you can also do what [MENTION=140792]halflife78[/MENTION] did and add clear paint protecting vinyl beneath it as well.

I initially had it higher, but with the front boots resting correctly I didn't notice any issue with the rack flexing. I assume due to the height variance I can get it can go high enough up to not contact the roof, but I could be wrong.

I prefer the look with it resting on the roof.

Gotcha - my point was more to the fact that with only the center touching it might create a pressure point and dimple the roof there. Touching evenly all the way across i'd be less worried, but just in the center i'd be a bit concerned

I just measured and 26 inches of the fairing is resting on my roof due to the angle.

The rack is about 2.5-3" above the highest point (the top & center of the back of the roof)

Victory can provide a more solid answer than me, but the rood slopes down so the rack height is higher in the front while being level across the vehicle. The rear height which looks to be the best measurement point is roughly 3.7 inches or so and that was across 3 measurement points I did. I didn't have much time before my meeting to get pics.

looking for additional review on this rack. I do like the fact that it is lighter but wondering how it handles loads comparing to the one from SSO that has thicker bars and thicker aluminum sides. .

I just installed it after trying to decide between SSO, Prinsu and Victory 4x4. Everything is good to go. No missing pieces and everything fit with no issues. Fit and finish is great. I stepped across all the bars and it held my weight fine. The aluminum bars did bed a little in the middle but loads will be distributed across evenly. I give the product a 10 across the board with the minor exception that the rear faring is a little too close to the roof of the 4runner. When loaded up I feel like it will rub. This was easily fixed by adding pieces of the extra faring rubber protector (from the front faring) to the pointy spots. Bottom line: High quality and lightweight product at a competitive price. Also barely any noticeable wind noise...or MPG drop (maybe .5 mpg?)

Does anyone have the factory length rack? Does it fit a 48” jack without overhang? Also, I would be further interested in wind noise with the factory rack replacement.
