This is the beginning of the build on my son's 2002 4runner. It is an SR5. Starting with the stereo as we are on a 16 year old priority list. Lift will be next onthe list.
Equipment list is as follows:
Head Unit - Kenwood Excelon KDC X396
Amplifier - Boston Acoustics GTA 1105
Front Speakers - JBL GTO608
Rear Speakers - Bravox CF 5-1/4"
Subwoofers - 2 x DXI104 DVC
My son and I started the sub box this weekend. It will house both subs, amp and door speaker crossovers. I wanted a low profile design so that my son could still carry his stuff around w/o a big speaker box in the way. Box is constructed from 3/4" MDF and will have 2 4" PPI flared ports. Box volume (1/5 ft^3) and port size (4" x 12") were based on Polk recommendation for the ported box.
