I like 1.3, but those poor, beautiful fender flares. 1.3 might look interesting with everything but the flares. My battle scarred millennium silver fender flares are crying knowing that their brothers will be painted over.

If it was me I would be getting some cheaper, aftermarket limited flares to rattle can. I've been trying to find good condition OEM fender flares in my body color for years.

I guess my question was how and where were you going to print these?

Ah I gotcha. My plan is to buy the black vinyl in a large sheet from a local sticker manufacturer (think it'll be like $35-$50) and then sandwich it between two pieces of MDF and cut it on a laser cutter. I'll be able to transfer the dimensions easily enough from Photoshop. Everything else is just going to be paint.

I'm sure any sticker place could make these but it might be expensive. I've also done the above process except with an Xacto. That's convenient because usually the vinyl is backed on the sticky side but also the display side. With the Xacto method you can careful just cut through the sticky backing and keep the display backing intact. That makes application quite easy.

I love the big flares with no cladding so much, I definitely prefer 1.0 with a color-matched front end. Not into the two-tone look, but completely-reversible old-school graphics would be sweet.

I would lose the chrome (bumpers and grille) and do everything body color, looks clean and least amount of work. IMO

At some point I'm attracted to the 5.1 version. I think it looks like something you'd see the Border Patrol driving. The 4.1 reminds me of a police vehicle.

I've been having the same thoughts myself because I hate the color of mine. However, it's what I could afford, when I could afford it. So... after much wasted time on the internet, then finding this thread I got some hope...

I could not seem to find the exact scheme I was looking for until I stumbled on some RC trucks that have the exact scheme I'm looking at. Minus the monster meats, maybe I'll bring that bad boy to life in 3rd Gen style.
