Vinyl Wrap Dimensions - Fender flares

I'm planning to vinyl wrap the fender/flares on a 5th Gen (arriving soon). Does anyone have the most efficient size vinyl roll worked out?

In other words, what the optimum size vinyl roll dimension to purchase that would complete wrapping for all 4 flares?

You're wrapping the entire fenders including the flares, or just the flares? Shouldn't you be able to measure it out yourself? I buy all my vinyl from Metro Restyling - Leader in Color Change Wrap Vinyl They sell it in 5' lengths by the foot. 5'x1, 5'x2', 5'x3', etc...

Hi. Yes I could measure it myself however, the vehicle hasn't been delivered yet. I would like to order the vinyl so that I can go to work as soon as my 4runner arrives.

ever since I saw his post ive been pondering it. It's difficult because if you use a "strip" you may have difficulties because of the bends I would think.
Im guessing heat gun and patience to stretch possibly.

Yes there will be throw away. That's what I want to minimize by purchasing the correct LxW roll.

Heat gun and squeegie are definitely required. For metal applications magnets also are used to hold the un-peeled film in place as you apply.
Of course another set of hands is good to have.

So if I'm reading it right, you're wanting to try to wrap the flares in long, but skinny strips to conserve material? From what I measured you'll want them at least 70" long. That's leaving about 1.5" extra material on either side. Happens to be the same dimension for both front and rear. So if you order one sheet that is 5'x6', you should be be covered with extra material to spare for other areas maybe? That's what I'd try. Are you planning on removing them, or wrapping them while they're still on the 4runner? Looks like both of the flare pieces that on the front and rear bumpers are actually part of the bumper and can't be removed, so you'll have to wrap those on the vehicle. I'd recommend picking up some knifeless tape for a nice clean cut line in those spots. Good luck and post some results!

You might also consider Plasti-dip in lieu of vinyl wrap.. There are several threads on the subject.

Yes I'll post some photos one day....I'm still waiting on the TRD do be delivered. My anxiety level is running high.

I did consider Plasti-dip but I believe vinyl would last longer and look better.
