Viper 4103XV Remote Start

Sears has a remote start, the Viper 4103XV 4 button 1 way remote start package. Im thinking of picking it up, However does anyone have this? any reviews? Anyone with a different remote start suggest other? Also how useful IS actually having a remote start.. ive always wanted one but is it as useful as it seems or just more trouble! Quality remote fob that wont go off in pocket? And whats all the extra 'relay' Xtreme capacity stuff? Thanks much in Advance!

can't help much with the viper but I had a prestige remote start system. I only got it because someone stole my spare key and didn't care for it that much.

It was nice being able to remote start, but I don't use it that much. I actually had it removed recently as part of diagnosing an electrical gremlin in the 4r and am quite happy to be using the factory alarm system again.

I didn't like the clunky remote, loud chirping, or extremely annoying alarm going off every time I disconnect the battery or accidentally pull the door handle cuz I thought it was unlocked. I also set it off often when accessing stuff on the rack and not disabling the alarm.

If you look on BestBuy's website, there are LOTS of reviews for all the Viper remote systems. I found it useful, in general. Go look on there and I'm sure you'll get plenty of reviews, however they are not all from 4R owners, if that matters to you.

please go to a private car audio shop for alarms, never do it in retail stores, u will get better support from the private shops, also u will pay a lil more but the service and quality of work done will be worth it.

I tihnk ill go the private shop and not retail shop route.. however is it like newer cars with push to start? or after i get into my car do i still have to plug the key in?

-click unlock...click start.......i arrive at car a minute later or so open door get in an go? Or is it different?
