Volt vs Extreme HID

With the 4300K low beams and 3000K fog lights, does using both at the same time cause the light output to look yellow mixing the 4300K and 3000K? Here's an example I've found from searching where the 3000K fogs make everything have a yellow tint PICS: 3000K (Yellow) HID Fog Lights on LS460 - Club Lexus Forums

LOL at HID fogs that look brighter than the low beams due to the glare :repuke:

I guess the clublexus pictures I found answer my question. Mixing both colors I guess does cause the overall output to look yellow even though this picture doesn't look that yellow but then (it could be due to the street lights): http://www.toyota-4runner.org/347948-post3.html.

I guess for me color temperature matching is the way to go to keep a totally white output.

I couldn't recommend Xenon Depot or the Xtreme HID kit more highly. Great product and great people to work with. Pay a little extra and get the best parts. Over the life of your vehicle it is well worth it.

When it says "Life Expectancy: 4-6 Years", what is expected to last for 4-6 years? The HID bulbs or the ballast? Thanks!

The bulb. HID bulbs are generally considered to "last" around 1,000 hrs of use. And they typically do not burn out like an incandescent (halogen), they colorshift, or degrade (lose brightness).

Experts will change them ~1,000 hrs to maintain efficacy.

I couldn't recommend Xenon Depot or the Xtreme HID kit more highly. Great product and great people to work with. Pay a little extra and get the best parts. Over the life of your vehicle it is well worth it.

The "best" parts would be new OEM components and a retrofit, not a HID kit :boink:
