vsc problems in 4wd only.

My 2001 4runner is having a strange problem I can figure out.

2wd the truck drives fine. 4wd, high or low, light throttle the traction control thinks I'm sliding all over. It will apply the brakes and stop movement. I can release and stab the throttle and it seems to go fine. Back to light or just nearly touching the throttle and it freaks out again.

I had the front right abs sensor get damanged in a ball joint change, and just recently changed it out with a new bwd sensor. That is the only change in the system.

I have done the zero point reset and it still does it. Only in 4wd.

Anyone have this issue and what did you do to fix it?

Not exact same problem but years ago when had my 3rd gen of course on a day I was packed up to head out of town my whole dash went crash when would accelerate didn’t have to be in 4wheeler drive. It set off ever light on dash vsc check engine whole nine. Headed to dealer and service manger told me I’d had some sensor go bad [emoji35]I can’t remember what it was but was told that it was programmed to set off everything to get your attention to have it fixed. 250 bucks later I was on the road with not another issue for the years I had it. Sorry wish could have been more help are you close to a shop and can have it scanned ?
