Vsc trac abs

Okay guys i'll try to make this as direct as possible. 06 v8 with previous accident damage (that i just friggin bought) With a very intermittent ABS TRAC and VSC light (always off when starting the car but sometimes come on while driving). The car shows no symptoms as far as driveabillity. So when i scanned it steering angle sensor was showing 1150 when the wheel was straight. Thought ok, just needs to be reset. So I aligned the car and reset it. Then when the light came back i scanned it again. Steering angle sensor still shows 1150. Now, my next step was going to be to replace the steering angle sensor. But I wanted to humbly ask of the experience of the experts around here for some words of wisdom before dishing out a few hundred bucks for a fairly uncertain solution.

Suggestions?

Thanks for your times guys. I'm sure we all can relate to the shitty feeling when somethings not perfect on our cars...

Id like to add that I also tried the Zero Point Calibration as an alternative reset procedure to the one that the alignment rack had to offer.
