Our family is going to be leaving for a 6 day trip to AZ tomorrow and we are taking the 4R! In prep i was mucking around under the dash because the foot vent was not flowing very well. I found the vent disconnected from the main output. The dealer prob didnt connect it right after the new dash recall install.
anyways, while i was down there i was messing with some 3rd party video/audio connections (video splitter to show TV on nav display). I don't use this anymore but it was all jumbled up under the dash and lose so i decided to secure it. After doing so, i started up the 4R and got a CEL, VSC TRAC and VSC OFF light. GREAT!
I picked up a OBDII reader and got a code of P0121 which is the throttle position sensor error. I didnt touch anything under the hood but checked the wires near where i was working under the dash. All seem connected.
* cleared the code on the sensor. reset 4R by disconnecting battery.
* CEL is now cleared but still have VSC TRAC and VSC OFF
* drove around block and between starting the car, putting into drive, driving and park, VSC TRAC, would come on and off and ABS would flash sometimes.
* Re-scan with sensor but no error codes
* ABS is not flashing anymore
* VSC TRAC and VSC OFF is on all the time.
Here is a pic of the area i was messing with under the dash. There was a larger harness just above the throttle. The 3rd party wires were ziptied to it so maybe something got pulled while messing with it? I checked connections and they seem ok. I cut off the 3rd party video wires.
Any suggestions?
