This has been a recurring problem on my '02. The first time an O2 sensor replacement "fixed it" ! After being off for months they came back on - went off by themselves - came back on - code read and cleared - and they came back on again. The code was not listed but seems to be linked some sort of left front wheel sensor ["yaw" ?]. Should I get this diagnosed at a dealer or can someone give some enlightenment. The 4WD system operates properly so can I just drive it with this issue present ?

you can drive on this problem with no issues. I have been doing it for years now and the reason mine is on is because of my charcoal canister is bad, I dont really feel like spending 480 dollars on a plastic box when the VCS and TRAC still work with the lights on. Goodluck with the YAW I have never heard of that

VSC & TRAC Warning Lights, then Check engine light.
Last Wed night 2001 4WD 4R (170,000 mileage) had the above sequence occur within a mile. Was driving uphill on sanded hwy, 35mph, ambient temps 20-25F,incoming snowstorm, 4WD not engaged. Slowed & got off Hwy after Check Engine light. Within 200 feet engine non-functional, stalled, then smoke from left front. After a cold wait (13F, no heater) for tow, diagnosis was a rod through engine.. Anyone had this occur?:sadwave:
Have had 1990 4R 4WD manual, 1994 & 1996 4R 4WD automatives, 1998 4R Ltd 4WD automatic. No similiar problems occurred. Anyone have this engine rod blowout happen in 96-02 4R?
