EBD = Electronic Brake Distribution probably played a HUGE factor in that too. Its suppose to modulate braking on the 4 wheels to keep you as straight as possible and avoid fishtailing...

But, it's main function is to distribute braking power front to rear...to reduce brake pad wear & tear.

Just for your information, electronic brake-force distribution is just a higher tech version of something called a proportioning valve, which was a "mechanical" valve used for the same exact thing.

So this technology is nothing new at all, except now it is electronic and responds to extra cargo weight.
