i guess its just me but...i hardly saw any spam? or maybe it was removed so quick that i never got to see it. i just didnt see it as a big problem here.

i think the idea of having to approve members is a great way to go...but also sounds like more work for the mods. is there a way to only put this time limit on new members, say members that have under 10 posts?
 
2 mins or 4 mins...who cares. I'd still be here if there was 5 min delay between posts. What ever it takes to keep spammers out, then I'm all for it. I do agree it would be nice at some point to have the software upgraded. Either way though, I'll still be here.

I'm just thankful I still have a job in today's economy and can browse this site at work at my leisure. (BTW, I work for a bank...and we all know how big the hit the banking industry has taken.)

This is a free (no pay-for-use) forum. Personally, I'd like it to stay that way. :bigok:

This board has the worst SPAM problem I have ever seen.

And the biggest bunch of whiners too.

I can't believe the owner hasn't deleted this thread, it's a waste of resources. It'd be locked on the boards I mod on.

Damn. So harsh.

I've seen spam that was much worse and on boards that were larger and had more mods. I think the 4-5 mods on here do a good job.

Maybe the other 15 or so offroad boards I'm on are lucky, little if any Spam.

Less biatch and moan too.

I'm on here mostly during the day, and frequently report the spam (today for instance), and it 's deleted pretty fast.

Can't fault you for that. :)

I report them as well. I think the majority of the spammers attack during the day.
