Waiting for 2020 TRD Pro - should I buy Gobi Roof Rack now?

In Washington, sales tax for vehicles is based on county of purchase. Other than state reg fees for your annual tabs (license plate renewal), only the Seattle and Tacoma areas have additional taxes to pay due to the public transit system in that area.

Nice. That's way better than California's tax laws. Then again, most states' are.

I called them (Gobi) yesterday to ask about lead times on arb brackets........10 to 12 weeks! For brackets!

I guess they have to mine the ore........

I have the stealth with no-rise option...wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. I live 5 mins from Gobi and it still took 22 weeks for mine. They didn’t charge me sales tax when I went to get it either. Best mod I’ve done to date. My wife hated me buying it, but just today said she thinks 4runners look stupid without it. I had zero issues with customer service, but that’s mostly because I knew it would be a 20+ week wait for it. I didn’t call or email, I just waited (very impatiently). My recommendation is if it’s the rack you want like it was for me just pull the trigger and forget about it. One day you will get a call saying it’s ready and it will be like Xmas in July.

Question - I also live in Denver and have a no-rise stealth on order (that my wife also hated me ordering lol) and since it is free, I'm planning on just having Gobi do the install. Did you have Gobi do the install as well and if so, any concerns about it? I assume, being Gobi, they'd do a fine job but I know better than to be entirely confident in that assumption...

Yes Gobi did my install as well just because it was easy for me. They had it done in about 20 mins, although I took my factory rack off beforehand. Have them throw in the upgraded hatch struts when you get there. I just asked and they were like yeah that’s fine.

Colorado (Denver) here as well. It seems if I end up going w/ Gobi, the stars will need to be aligned perfectly. Not sure if I'm lucky that nobody has returned calls yet or not ... :beer:

OP, how did the GOBI work. I didn’t see any pics posted in the the thread. I am getting the 2020 tomorrow when it rolls in on the truck from the port.
