After an exhausting search for just the right rock-sliders we went with RSG Offroad.

We installed a pair of LED pod lights in our rear bumper. Now we can actually see where we're backing up too.

We finally got around to installing skid plates!

In this episode we raise our rear differential vent, or breather, up to avoid water from getting in during river crossings. Often called the Scuba Mod, this is one of the best DIY modifications you can do to your Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, or FJ Cruiser, and one of the least expensive. It has the potential of saving you $$$$$ in repairs.

Do you have a parts list for this? I didn't see it in the info on the youtube video. Mostly looking for the filter and the brass T
I just can't bring myself to give ARB $75 for some tubing and a piece of plastic.

First, thank you for the outstanding videos. My TRD Offroad Premium should arrive next month and I'm really looking forward to the build-out. You said you were putting 285/70R17 tires on your stock TRD rims. Most of the tire manufacturers I've checked out seem to recommend 8" wide wheels. Can you tell me what tire you used and if you have had any problems with the 7" wide wheels?

Wider wheels are recommended for the 285s but we've never had an issue aired up or down. Thousands of people run 285s on the stock TRD rims with no problem at all. We went with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Pros: not as noisy on the pavement as most others, decent wear, great traction. Cons, just one: a little hydroplaning during heavy downpours especially when accelerating on an on-ramp.

Our local farm supply store. They can be found just about anywhere.

Not at all. It's tucked up enough where it's never been an issue.

My 2020 ORP with KDSS should arrive at the Port of Houston in mid-December. I want to immediately install a lift to clear 33" tires. My plan has been to install the same ToyTec system you used. Do you have any regrets? Would you do it differently if you started over again?

No regrets at all! It's a great, solid system.

A suspension lift on the front IFS has no effect on your ability to clear larger tires. It does not add any clearance for tires.
