so i just got back a message form OW and the said they can and will do a custom set of remote resi's for my truck if i want. but i think ill test them out first to see how they are then decide later on if i want them.

is the special coating alreading on the kit when you get it, or is it something you have to add? like a spray or grease??

The coating is an additional option you can purchase (~$100). It's call IVD (ion vapor deposition) coating/plating which helps prevent corrosion in harsh weather conditions.

The coilovers already comes with rust resistant zinc coating standard. I started developing a little rust on my remote resi, but the coilover has been rust free.

ICON offers special coating for harsh environments if it's a concern. I didn't get the special coating option and my truck spent the last three winters in the mountains driving through snow and salted roads with no corrosion to the shock body. I adjusted them a couple of months ago to compensate for added weight with no seizures or jams.

Oh nice to know. I wonder if that is a new offering. I know a couple of guys who would have gotten Icon's if some of the east coast FJ guys hadn't warned against the corrosion thing. If it is, that's very cool that they listened to what was being said in the scene and on the forums and adjusted their product offering.

im want to lift my 06' 4runner about 4-6 inches. its a sports edition 4x4 with a V6. im looking and looking but cant find anything to lift it high as i want it to. any info on where i can get a good one would be greatly appretiated. i need a lift for bigger wheels, im going to be using it for off roading all types of terrain. thanks.

6 inches on IFS is way too much unless you want to run 37s, in that case have fun blowing through cash replacing CVs, you would think one would wonder why dont people dont make 6 inch lifts for my truck? maybe because it stupid

nice. but i dont want to go 6 inches up of what it already is, i only need like a safe three inch. besides who ever said any thing about a 6inch lift?? i dont want one.
