I use a soap from a local detail shop. He works on $40,000 paint jobs for Mothers and Chip Foose, so the stuff works. It has carnuba wax in it so it beads perfectly and helps prevent spotting while I dry it, and adds to the shine.
The wax I use is Mother's Carnuba wax and their Syn Wax, which is designed for dark colors and makes it look like glass. They also have a product called Reflections which adds even more depth and luster. I personally think Mother's works the best.
The first time you use Mother's i's best to spend a few hours and do their 3 step system. Step 1 cleans off all of your old wax build up and crap on it, step 2 is a sealer and glaze which will help you reduce any scratches or swirls, and then the 3rd step is the carnuba wax. Syn wax and reflections are good waxes to alternate on top of the carnuba.
