WeatherTech Digital rear mat fit problem?

I just received my WT digital mats, but seems like the rear mats are not a flush fit. The part that covers the corner of the rear foot step is not cut/molded deep enough to the sides, and thus are just sitting above the plastic foot step..anyone else who have these mats experience the same or different?

I'm assuming this is for the second row and not the trunk mat? I didn't have this issue with mine and I got the digital fits. I did have an issue with the trunk mat since I have the double decker system, I got the smaller mat when in reality I wanted the larger mat for NO double decker system.
Do you have the 3rd row in your truck? If so, I do remember seeing a note on the site saying that if you have the 3rd row, you'll have trimming or some issues with getting the mats to fit properly.
There may be a chance they sent you the wrong item, but I could very easily be wrong too. Just a thought!

I agree with Jester. You must have the wrong mat. Mine fits perfectly. Weathertech is a great company. Give them a call and explain what you have.

Another note... do you have a standard V6 SR5? My 06 (also a regular SR5) doesn't have that pronounced step. It's all carpeted there.

I believe snowbrdr is correct. I think the issue is the step to get to the third row. They aren't made to fit 4runners with third row seating. Want the weathertechs but I also have the third row. Do you have any other problems?

Oh is that what that step is? Makes sense. Never seen a 4runner with a 3rd row seat in person.

Yeah, weathertech's site explicitly warns that the rear liner will require trimming to fit on 4runners with 3rd row seating.

hmm..and on the site it explicitly asks me if I have 3rd row seating, which I said yes. The indention for that step seems correct..just not deep enough into the step itself. I wonder if any 3rd row 2005 SR5 owners here have the rear seat mats that "fit"? It didn't bother me..at first..but thinking these mats are not cheap..I'll give them a call to see if they sent me the wrong one Monday. Thanks for the input..so far..guys!

Someone else said it already: their website did specifically say you have to trim to fit the 3rd row seat steps. I never got around to trimming mine and although the fit looks less than perfect there, it works just fine as-is with no trimming.

Let us know what you find out from weathertech. I have an 05 limited but NO 3rd row seating, but my mats were for the most part, just fine. I highly doubt they would've shipped the wrong mat, but it's certainly possible, we are human.
