Weird new problem, '01 brakes?

So when I have to make an abrupt stop for these photo enforced stop lights that give you like 2 seconds of yellow, I come to a complete stop, but as soon as I let off the brake pedal just a little bit, the runner lurches forward a little, as if brakes have bound up some? Stock brakes, newer drums and rotors, time for TBU?

check them for wear, leaking wheel cylinders in back or a leaking axle seal. clean and adjust rears if needed. TBU as well. better stopping power. flush out fluid if not already done so.

lube the driveline slip. sounds like its binding up slightly.

Good because I ordered this

No, it was the slip yoke binding, for sure. I would like to change the title of this thread to make it more useful for others that experience the problem, is that possible? Mods?

Mine does that every time I come to a stop. Well... like 90% of the time. It stops and then kind of acts like it makes a second stop. It doesn't move forward again but it seems like my issue is similar idk

Feel like you got a little tap from behind a few seconds after coming to a stop? Then, when you hit the gas, hesitates a little, then lurches forward? Then this thread is for YOU

It either does it at stop or when I start. Never both. Always one or the other

You will get both eventually... Pretty straightforward job, just need a good impact for those bolts, and short socket, not much wiggle room. Might want to try soaking in PB Blaster for 24 hours. Get the can of that grease, a tube is not enough, and the White Lightning cleaner Tim uses in the video is very cheap at Home Depot. Wear eye protection when reinstalling, I had too much grease in there and it shot out every where when I plunged it lol
