Actually no, it's still happening. Are you having the same issue?
My mechanic checked the heat shields and charged me a few bucks for fastening/clamping a bunch of them but that didn't solve the issue.
When I told him to check for other potential sources for the sound, he said that he noticed an exhaust gasket by the CATs that is leaking. I haven't gone back for him to install the new gasket because I've been really busy at work but could that be the cause?
This issue is pissing me off. I just had my mechanic change my cat (not both, just the 2nd one before the muffler) and I drove it for 10 minutes and it was quiet. Then I took a right turn to my subdivision and as I accelerate, I heard that stupid noise again. Good thing he didn't charge me any labor since he's already taken a look a couple times before and the issue came back

And as I said before, this issue happened before, and so far he's changed my power steering fluid, the whole timing belt kit, LBJ's and now the 2nd cat.
I don't know what to do anymore. Turning up the radio helps a little bit but when driving with my family, they don't like the music turned up so high and get annoyed with whatever this f'ing sound/vibration noise is.
Any other things I should have my mechanic check?
At this point, I might just go to a Tuffy Shop and have them diagnose by driving around aggressively taking turns. I think they have a "Done Right Period. Or we will fix it for free"
