I installed the Scion T1809 headunit in my '07 SR5 last year and it's been great! But over the last few months, it has developed a very irritating problem regarding the iPod.
When playing the iPod through the stereo, the sound will occasionally cut out. Not like the sound cuts in and out; it just cuts out altogether without warning. When it happens, the headunit display still looks the same...still displays the song title, etc. The only way to get the sound back is to unplug the ipod and plug it back in. When I do so, the song picks up in the same spot where it cut out. I know it's not an ipod issue, since it happens with both of my ipods. I don't think it's a loose connection issue, as sometimes it happens when I'm sitting at a stop light. Seems to me that it's got to be a headunit issue...
And the problem seems to be getting worse. When it started a few months ago, it would cut out intermittently for a few days, then play just fine for another week or two. But lately, it's cutting out every few minutes. It's incredibly annoying!
Anybody else heard of or experienced this problem? I've searched this forum, as well as some of the Scion forums and can't find anything...
