Find me one example anywhere, any time, of anyone having ever been either successfully prosecuted or sued civility for recording conversations or video of someone in their private car or home and it may be worth talking about further. I don't think it has ever been done or ever will be successfully done. Just my .02.
As an employer I'd want to know about that video. It's not uncommon to have one or a few people in a business that are toxic to the operation. And it's often hard for management to identify them and to fire them with cause. Often you know instinctively who it is and what the issues are - but don't have concrete examples. Firing bad people is as important to success in many businesses as hiring good ones. But you've got to know who to fire and why you're doing it. I certainly wouldn't demand that they be fired, but I would let the management know what happened and let them sort out what to do with it going forward.
I don't know what Toyota does to keep dealerships in line, but my general experience has been universally high quality service at Toyota dealerships. My experience at Lexus has overall been both good and very bad.
Linda Tripp
Haha, wiretapping with details regarding an extremely high profile case involving the president? Being that this implicated the Clintons, she's lucky she didn't commit "suicide" by shooting herself in the back of the head, twice.

Techs are not paid hourly. they are paid per job (flag time). so if you spend 3 hours on a repair that only pays you 1, you have now missed out on 2 hours of pay.
imagine being paid 3 hours for an 8 hour work day. cant really live on that.
i know that's extreme but it happens.
again it should go back to the same tech who originally installed it as a comeback. they have already been paid for the job and either need to complete it if they missed something or potentially there is another issue that they be paid by the manufacturer for.
If they are paid this way maybe they should find a different line of work. They are there to solve a problem, not complain about their work scale.
Do you think I care how they are paid? I have my own problems. There is no excuse for them to be this way. If they can get away with it now what prevents it from happening in the future?
I spoke to a lawyer, who's a family friend. I'm not going to upload the video, but they said it's okay if I mention the dealer and write them a bad review. However, not going to mention the dealer. I'm going to give them a chance on how they are going to rectify the situation. They said it's okay for me to show the Service Manager the footage.
This is also why the avg repair is is up to about $700 these days. There are a lot of mouths to feed at a dealership and many of those mouths are fed by warranty and out of pocket repairs.
No kidding. Out of curiosity, I just called my local dealer to get a quote to install front Bilstein 5100s with an alignment. The service guy said: "Based on previous experience, let's just call it an even $1000, give or take a $100". Bear in mind this did not include the cost of the shocks!
The one-party, all-party statutes apply to phone calls. The theory behind all-party is someone talking on the phone has an expectation of privacy. The laws were written before mobile phones.
Putting a camera in a car or your home doesn't come under this. If it did, nanny cams would be illegal in all-party states, as would video surveillance by the police and all kinds of hidden-camera reports by television stations.
Most state laws are way, way behind the technology, by the way.
