Hello Everyone,
me and my Fiancee just got a used 4Runner TRD Pro and we would like to use it a bit for what it was intended, but without going to the extreme OffRoad...
lets say: OVERLANDING
We live in the Piedmont area, and for what i have searched OnLine, we have a few possible Trails within the 100 miles radius from our home, but i was wondering whatelse is available in NC.
Aside from the
=- Uwharrie Off Road Park;
=- Durhamtown Off Road Resort;
that are both paid facilities, i know there are many other Trails that are qualified as state roads, like
=- (trail 1372) Richland Road -> Flint Branch Road -> Blackberry Road (trail 1529)
which i have done Richland many years ago, and it is a bit too extreme for what we have in mind right now, not to mention easy to get lost into... maybe in the future, but for now, we just got this Car, we don't wanna force it too much.
But we heard of:
=- (trail 1238) Old NC 105 {begins @ 35.771991 , -81.902834}
which is the closest to where we live and should be very easy and fun to do with no risks involved.
and we heard also of:
=- Hurricane Creek road -> Max Patch Road (trail 1182)
which should NOT be too extreme for what i have seen online and as of now it would be the most extreme trail we would do.
With all this in mind... what other Trails do you guys know of in the Western NC area that aren't too extreme, where you could easily go on a family trip without putting at unnecessary risks other family members as we go on a fun PicNic outdoor trip?
