What 17" wheels for my '06 Sport

Just bought this truck a few days ago and with it came a set of unmounted snows. They've had one seasons use and I'd like to mount them on wheels and use them this coming winter. Looking for steel wheels but I appear to have hit a wall with those. Either they don't exist or I'm not looking in the right spot. I have a line on a Craigslist ad that has wheels and tires off of an '06 Tacoma but at $450 for the set I'm in no hurry to spend that kind of coin. Same size wheels and tires as my 4R. Are there other Toyota models Tacoma, Tundra, FJ whose wheels will fit without issues?

Any guidance would be appreciated. This is posted after searching a variety of threads to find the answer. None quite hit my topic unless I missed it...

Rims from the Tacoma, FJ, first gen Sequoia and Tundra, and Lexus GX will fit.

Second gen Sequoia and Tundra rims will not--they're 5-lugs.

There are the wheels the local guy has that came off of his 2006 Tacoma. They are a size match to mine just different rims. He seems a bit flexible on price and that's a good thing.

Yes, those used to be the sort wheels for the 4Runner. I had put a set on my recently wrecked 4Runner before I sold it.

You're welcome.

Since you have a Sport Edition, only the 17" or bigger rims will work (18" from the 2006-09 4Runner Limited or GX460). The 16" rims from the Tacoma will not clear the bigger brakes on the SE.

Those rims pictured there come from the Tacoma with TRD Sport package.

Yeah.. Tell me about it.. Take a look at the frame (yes you can see the frame) just under the bumper.

I did notice that.

Looks like whatever hit was low and right in the rear corner.

That would have brought a tears to my eyes. That just sucks...

If you want an inexpensive 2nd set of wheels...I would suggest the 17" FJC Black Steelies.

FJCruiser Forum may have members just giving them away.

I was able to get a set of the alloys I mentioned above from EBay for $150. Just need to get them mated up on the snows and I'll be ready for...dare I say it....winter.
