What All Weather Mats Does Toyota Give You Via Recall?

I just got my recall notice in the mail yesterday and it indicates that if you bring your 4Runner in and you have the OEM all weather mats that haven't been updated, they will replace them, at no cost.

Does anyone know what mats they replace them with? I'm all for a free set of mats, but I like the OEM ones I have as well, so I don't want them replacing them with something shi**y.

The funny thing is OEM ones are the sh*tty ones. Mine after a year got a hole in them on the driver side.

I got a recall notice has well and I take it by "ALL WEATHER" that they are referring to the ones you hose off? When I purchased my 05' they came with oem carpeted floor mats. If they actually mean those then heck I'm going in b/c mine are beat.

Weird. I like the heavier OEM all weather mats, no holes in mine, yet.

I dont have the all-weather, just the carpeted ones so its probably different but when i took mine in, they didnt replace the OEM mats, they said they cut a section off so the pedal would get caught. I didnt notice any difference in the mat at all!! :cheers:

they told me that they replace the drivers side with on ethat is much thinner. I'm assuming that it is also less durable being that it is significantly thinner.

I couldn't agree more, had the same thing happen. The coverage is lousy, as is the lip. Weathertech is a much better choice.
