Yep, rear heater. How are you not leaking coolant? Anyone know?

Somebody looped or plugged the rear heater connection at the engine when it first leaked.

thank you guys, the rear heater has not been producing heat for a lot of years but I didn't bother because its not important. the thing that bothers me though is that no one mentioned to me that these were hanging since probably 2007, ive brought it at least 20 times to a garage since then...

Did someone bypass the rear heater? You would see a hose looping from one metal pipe (about 1/4 inch probably rusty running parallel about 1/2 apart) to the other, on the firewall, passenger side.

He may have known what it was, saw it was by-passed, and assumed the owner knew what was going on. I don't think it is that worthy of reporting. No safety or performance issue.

possibly this.
unless the customer asks for a safety/overall inspection, I also wouldn't mention it. we cant go looking for every single thing that's wrong, especially on an almost 20 year old car. the list could be HUGE.
people already think the mechanic is out to rip them off, that would only make things worse.
