What are this strange electrical connectors on the driver side for?

My first post to ask for help for my 2019 TRD Offroad.
Does anyone have an idea what the t-tab-connectors in the driver's footwell might be for? There are a couple of red ones in the front and two more yellow ones in the back.
I think that is not OEM, but also do not know what the previous owner did with it.
I've already looked in the wiring diagrams but haven't figured out how to find these connectors from the footwell in the schematic.

Those are not factory. Looks like the PO wanted to hook something up but didnt own a multimeter. RIP

I've got 2010 T4R Electrical Wiring Diagram, but how to find this connectors?
Because these from the footwell are not labeled.

Those look like tap off splices. They go around a factory wire and pierce the insulation to allow connection to another wire that would go to some other piece of equipment. Looks like the other wireing has been removed; leaving you the splices. I hate these things because they make poor connections at best and are often the cause of problems later.

I would try to identify what those wires (with the splices) go to in case there are future problems. You could remove those splices and repair the wiring. If you do, remember to disconnect the battery and only work on one wire at a time.

cut them off and get rid of them before you have any issues!!

damn. not a huge deal but disconnect battery and carefully remove the splices. buy some wrap around heat shrink tape and seal the connections. electrical tape also works

Looks like crappy dealership work to me. The PO probably took off the worthless KARR or equivalent system.

I have found the signals in the Diagram. It should be these signals which were tapped, see pictures.
These are ignition and starter as well as key and lock drive of the driver's door.
If there are problems, at least i know where to look now.

you are kind of lucky because those wires aren't all hacked up. the good thing about removing those taps is they make such a small physical connection with the actual wire that they can be removed pretty easily. no soldering, no crimping to do, just tape/seal over the exposed part and you should have no problems

sometimes if there's an aftermarket remote AND antitheft system there's A LOT of undoing that needs to happen and can be messy. if this is all that's left of that remote start this isn't bad at all

Probably for an old remote start or something. I would just leave them so not to mess with it more.
