Hello,

I am in need of a fluid change, I am trying to decide if this looks like old red or old pink coolant. What do you think?

Could be old pink or could be the HOAT universal stuff for Chevy/Land Rover, etc.

Honestly the color of coolant is not nearly as important as it used to be. The Dexcool days are long gone, thankfully. Give it a quick flush and fill with Asian Red formula is what I'd do but that's more to satisfy my OCD than anything.

Agreed. Been running Zerex Asian Vehicle Red in mine since I first got it and did the timing belt. That's over 3 years ago now and zero issues.

I've seen a few guys lose their poop on BaT about green coolalnt in 3rd gens but ironically when the 3rd gen came out in 96, they came with green coolant. Red was introduced a bit later lol

If you’re changing it anyway, wouldn’t you just check the owner’s manual and use the recommended coolant?
