WhAt could make knocking noise in suspension

Hello everyone !

I just trade my 05 mustang gt for a 04 4runner V8 with 120000 kilometers .

I did already passenger manifold
now I'm going to replace driver side but before I get manifold i have to find out what is making a knocking noise from suspension .
today I replace bushings and sway links on swą bar
stering is so nice right now but noises are still noticeable :(
it's only on a "sharp bumps " . i checked every single wheel try to move by hands or hit tire by hammer but everything seems to be tight . where should I look else before I spend money for suspension inspection .

First we need to know a little bit more about your Runner. Is is a 4x2 or 4x4? Are you running XREAS or conventional suspension? Are you still running on your ORIGINAL upper and lower ball joints?
 
Oh sorry for that .
It's a 04 4runner V8
I guess every suspension parts are still original , doesn't look like someone changed anything before .
There is no xreas suspension . my 4runner it's just sr5.

I looked at ball joints rubber (or boot Idk how to name it proper) and it's still fine . No grease leaks or so.

I'll try to lift the car and put a second lifter under lower control arm than use a bar to find any movements.
I think noises comes from passenger side (front)
but my cousin who did test drive yesterday said that noises comes from rear right wheel lol

OK, my initial impression would be that maybe your upper control arm bushings are shot. I would still get your ball joints checked, even if you do not see any leaking as that's a lot of miles for the originals.
 
Yeah I did sway bar rebulid yesterday . nothing change except really good feeling driving on curves road

Check your control arm bushings. Jack your Runner on the affected side and remove the wheel. Secure with jack stands. Once you are confident that your Runner will not fall, grab your spindle and pull back and forth really hard and feel/listen for play and/or noise. You'll know if the bushings are shot at this point. BTW, accurate alignment will be easier to achieve with new, polyurethane control arm bushings. Just sayin'!
