Gave 'er a nice bath before it rains all week. Did some minor interior detailing and scrubbed the weathertech mats up. Been so busy with work, so it was nice to spend a little time doing things other than driving...

I know im posting in the complete wrong section, dumb new guy here but im looking for some help/point me in the right direction! problem - 2000 4runner 290ish kms, having missfiring issues. started off as cyl 3 minor missfire so changed plugs and wires and coil pack on cyl 3 with no fix. problem seems to have gotten worse CELS with multiple cyl missfires, runs rough lots of hesitation. Ive been told possible got some bad fuel/gas but seems to severe to me for just that. Also timing belt was done less then 10k ago and fuel filter was done same time as plugs and wire so less then 5k. Thanks for any help!

Low. There were a few things I didn't mention but not high dollar stuff.

Reading this makes me sooo glad i can do all this work myself.
And makes me happy that there are actually people out there like you that are willing and able to fit bills like that. Keeps me employed and keeps the side jobs plentiful, so I can upgrade my runner with other peoples cash. [emoji1419][emoji23]

Strong d-bag post.

Did you sleep through elementary school? Had you been awake, your teacher(s) had probably mentioned more than once, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. I think you should reconsider how you speak to people because you sound like a tool.

I, too, can wrench on cars and most of my friends and extended family can't. I help them whenever they have a car issue if it's something I have experience in. But you will not see me running around, rubbing in their face that I can work on cars and they can't.

Also, don't be so quick to presume everyone's situation. You never know what someone else is going through.

Be humble and please don't be that guy.

Dropped a new Pioneer touch screen in my 2000 limited and moved the factory 2000 radio into my 1999 limited (had to bring the amp over as well). The 2000 factory has a way better seek function (it annoyed the crap out of me).

Also tracked down a blown fuse in the engine bay that controled the power outlets in the front and cargo area.

Plasti dipped my grill. Not bad for my first plasti dip ever

Plasti dipped my grill. Not bad for my first plasti dip ever

Looks good man, next time try maybe another layer or two. On the top bar of the grill you can sorta see lighter spots, as time goes by these will be the first to rub away. Also I have had some experience with plasti / flex dip now and recommend getting the clear coat shine spray specific for the plasti. This helps more than you think. Also is see some water on your hood, not sure your execution but doing it in a warm / dry space will always give you the best results for paint (ie a garage). Oh well just some knowledge for the future. Cheers!

I took the grill off and did it in my garage. I used some shit called dupli coat from O'Reilly's and did 4 coats. Bought plasti dip brand and did the emblems on the rear. Huge difference in the products and I will be doing the grill over again. I think I will sand the spray paint from the previous owner down and have a fresh surface to apply it on.

The more coats of dip the better, I've read

Wonder what factory matched paint over dip would do...

rear bumper work

had some fairly deep dings in both the center and right sections so ordered them from Rock Auto and changed em out. Thanx to good write ups on this pretty simple work (of course it helps when the vehicle has spent its entire life in Arizona :-) and the nuts n bolts spin right off like it just came from the factory.

Today and Yesterday, I installed new OEM front bearings, UBJ, Steering rack with OTREs/ITREs, and 1 non-OEM CV axle after 270K miles.

Word of advice for the bearings, it helps to have a friend help and you'll need another arbor plate set or stock iron (rotors worked in a pinch)!!! And thank mtbtim, infamousRNR, JRZEE2000TR4LTD for their excellent videos/pics.

Steering rack =2 hrs
CV axle 1/2hr
Bearings press=3hrs
UBJ=1hr

TillytheToyota Who did you get those brackets from? I'm going to need them very soon once I get around to installing my Toytec lift.
