We found a lonely snow covered mountain that insisted that we stay for about three hours playing, "vehicle extraction", and the ever popular, "Let's build us a road out of traction devices for eight vehicles" Hahahahaha. My friend managed to grab a cool shot of my rig though. I spent a lot of today laying Maxtrax, Treds, and one or two other manufactures pads. I felt like I was building tracks in front of a train. I got to use my full sized shovel, A LOT. LOL. Even with all of us getting stuck, it was fun, and still better than working! HA!

There are quite a few for the size of town.
Sunday's weather was nice enough to get my Christmas present installed:
Had to work at it a little, I was expecting a straight bolt in.
But the hawse and the front receiver hitch were too close together. And while those holes in the front of the bumper were in theory provided for access to the freewheel/spool lever, no way did it even come close to working. COuld have reclocked it, but then the lever would stick forward slightly from the bumper. So I chopped out the top of the bumper for access. I was planning on using a remote solenoid kit, but once I needed to chop out the top of the bumper for gear lever access - I just kept on going to make room for the solenoid pack too.
Then the license plate was a quick 'tired of doing this stuff' afterthought.

That's exactly why I put an ARB bumper on my rig. Sorry for the inconvenienceGranted bambis suicide wish.....$#@#$% deer...

I'm not proud of what I did but it got me back on the road until the right parts come in.
Ehhh, I don't see why that's so bad. I think it's the way they should have come from Japan to begin with, there's no logic behind that spaghetti noodle of a hard line.

I just dont like that it rubs against stuff which is why I tried to change the brake hose in the first place.

We had a sunny 75° day today so I changed out the front rotors and pads. I had to fight the cursed brake pad pins. Now that I'm looking at ZionXIX's pic I just realized that I didn't install the anti rattle clip so I guess I'll be taking care of that first thing in the morning.

Did a transmission fluid flush and oil change on my T4R.
Next up, all sorts of front suspension maintenance. LBJ's, UBJ's, inner and outer tie rods, steering rack bushings, upper and lower control arm bushings and probably more... hoping to eliminate the death wobble type feeling I get at 65mph.

When doing the LBJ, is it recommended to do all of these other things as well?

Not sure, but I figure while I'm in there taking it all apart - I might as well do it all and not have to go back. My luck the one part I decide to skip will be the one that causes my issues.
My truck has 240k on it, so everything I'm changing is well worn. Piece of mind for me...
