Seat warmer components must be regulating voltage because im seeing under 2 volts but seems to be warming up just fine. If i disconnect the switch and retest the source(cig lighter) its back to 12ish.

Are you using the cig power circuit to power a relay set up? If you are powering them directly from the piddly little cig outlet writing I would think you are drawing too much power through it. How much do the seat heaters draw full on?

Today I'm doing some basic new car maintenance type stuff. I opted for the cheaper spark plugs. I wanted the NGK'S, but they run about $12 EACH. So that'll have to wait haha

well i had a finnicky ground, its getting the full 12 now

the cig lighter power was just to get them working but it seems to be plenty for the one seat currently. From what i could find the draw is generally 3-3.5 amps and i've got a 5A fuse in-line.

recos on a switched 12v near the console?

My 2002 w 434,000 miles received some love.

Wilco Off-road Swing away tire. Saved some $$ on not getting the swing away hitch model. Plan on welding a 2” on myself and adding a better hi-lift cradle. Also will be sliding it all the way into the hitch and cutting the 2” then resetting the tension nut.

After neglecting to secure the swing away I went for a drive. Damage ensued and a replacement was necessary. Ughhhh ok fine I’ll upgrade the original lamps to an LED model. Very pleased with this updated look and performance.

I have wanted to cut in a flush mounted Baja Designs S2 sport in the bumper as a backup light. But for whatever reason $100 bucks and some cutting wasn’t on my immediate list. I did find another product via Instagram then again for almost 1/2 as much on amazon. LED reverse lights, I was skeptical. They work, I can see through my tint now and backing up isn’t like finding your flashlight in the dark tent.

I recently replaced the headliner for the 2nd time in the life of the vehicle.

I also upgraded the poor tired but bright head lamps. Stock housing with aftermarket wiring loom and NON DOT 90/130 bulbs. With a better functioning system. HID Projectors.

will sound strange to most,
but eliminated my B&M trans cooler. Why...well past few days have not got much above thirty, have about 6 inches of snow at the house now and the first mile of driving to town is snow and ice, and winters here we can see weeks if not month or more of minus 20 degrees. ( my son says he has seen minus 40)
the other day my torque pro showed tranny did not get over 115 degress after about 20 minutes driving and radiator was at 186.

it was real helpful in Oregon before moving here with rock crawiling and slow back road driving, but times change and moved here this year with my 4runner..

Did you have the radiator trans cooler bypassed before you eliminated your B&M trans cooler?

Greased the Spiders (Valvoline VV615) and the Cardan joint and slip yokes (Valvoline VV985). Eight Zerk fittings in all for my 3rd gen.

Also installed these nifty Zerk fitting covers. No idea if they will actually do anything (especially here in AZ), but dang they look cool.

On a related note, man can it be a PITA to remove the grease gun fitting from the Zerk.

Well installed a snorkel, waiting on piping so I can actually connect it to the air box. And got more work done on the f150 fuel tank swap. Ran out of welding wire so that ended my day early boo.

Finally got tired of the guide pins that came with my rebuilt TBU calipers, which were too long. Not that it would be a problem in practical terms, but it annoyed me.

New pins - no more slop!

Installed Moog 81088 "99 tall" springs, hoping to get the ~1" lift.

Had my doubts when I compared them side by side with my 195K OEM springs, same number of coils and free height, though the 81088 were of thicker coil diameter:

After 2 hours of getting to know my suspension up close and personal, this is the comp:

It went from about 21" to to 21.75". Unfortunately my smile vanished after a couple of miles of driving, when the springs settled in a bit and gave me about 21.5", so a half inch lift (and I'm being generous).

I guess at least I have new springs now, so there's that :ohwell:. Hope they don't settle any more, as they'll end up below my original height.

Not today, but last night... replaced my worn out lift gate pull strap. Really easy to DIY, just some 1” nylon webbing and some heavy thread to sew it into the bracket. Maybe 15-20 minutes from start to finish?

Didn't look like you used any brake grease on those pins!

Looks can be deceiving :). Coated with a thin layer of brake caliper grease prior to installation :thumb:. I don't like to have too much grease there, as it could drop onto the rotor surface or the pads, so a thin layer is all it needs.
