I changed all my belts also. Toyota put the PS tentioner in the worst location. I was inching it with a gearwrench.

Sounds about right! A midget gear wrench comes in very handy.

I'm new to the 4runner scene also. I just picked up a 99 on Saturday. I really like it! I sold my Tacoma and wanted a buildable vehicle so I chose a runner. I build off road armor so bumpers, skid plates, and sliders will go on eventually, after a lift, wheels, and tires.

I have massive ARB air locker envy for ya' and I'm diggin' your pups too.
Here are my two 'kiddos'.

Yikes, well then I hate to tell you I have a matching 4.88 ARB locked diff that I need to install in the front when I get some time.

So what was the purpose of removing the front sway bar? I did it to mine and HATED IT!! The rear was great but HATED the front.

I had disco'd the front links to get a bit more flex while crawling and ended up bending a link so I removed them both...that was over a year ago. I had planned on making some QD's but figured I've been riding this long w/o them so I've adjusted my driving habits to where it doesn't bother me.

Looking online they are priced around $160-$170. I found the pieces the kit was missing at an auto parts store for around $20.




Also, today a Volvo crashed into me, causing minor bumper damage. The good news is that it is her fault and I will be getting cut a check for the damages. The whole time I was exchanging information I was secretly thanking the driver for buying me a new plate bumper. **** yeah.

Thanks Nick! Thanks, when I saw it I knew it was the one I wanted. Same color my truck was and the 5 speed was a requirement.

Skids will be ready to ship in a couple weeks I hope!
