I took my 4Runner to the dealership to have the rear license plate screws drilled out. It took them over 3hrs and since I broke off a drill bit in of the screws, they had to take off the inside door panel to get to the back of the bolts. Best $115 I have spent in awhile.....worth every penny....probably would have taken me twice as long and a lot more carnage.

* of note, it looks like if you pull off the inner panel, you have access to nut/screw itself and maybe avoid this whole issue with some PB blaster/WD40 if your screws are rusted like mine were......worth a shot anyways.

The narrow width of the tire makes the contact pressure on these way up there. Allowing what seems like an uncanny amount of traction in situations where the pizza cutters seem to outgrip and climb where others slip and struggle. I owned a set myself and always like them, a couple buddies have them currently and love them also. Thinner tread width keeps rubbing to a minimum. As far as I know every tire available in this size is a load range E.

CONS:
As far as I know every tire available in this size is a load range E. They definitely take some time to break in, and they do. The narrow overall width leaves pretty much zero protection for your rims from rocks (curbs in your case). The tire selection in the size is pretty slim, and not the cheapest at that.

I like them, but wouldnt run them based on the reasons above.

Let me know if you can get 30mpg out of it, the best I ever got out of our 5-speed XT was 25.5 MPG, and that was driving it like I had an egg between the bottom of my foot and the accelerator.

The best I've gotten out of my '97 Outback 2.5L is 28.9 MPG .

Upgraded alternator to CS144. Got CS144 alternator from pickNpull for $20. I opted to use harness adapter instead of hard wiring cause I still want to be able to swap back to stock alternator if the CS144 craps out for whatever reason.

Installed a remote starter. Reset the efi. Changed the air filter and cleaned the maf/tb.

Not really today, but in the past month, got my 97 Limited 4x4, weathertech's (front, back and cargo), replaced lift gate supports, and installed trailer hitch. Need to finish up the wiring for the trailer plug and fix the antenna next.
