What kind of projectors kit is $100 total?

Hey Brian, see photos of the AES mini bi focals installed, Don't have any shots of the cut off but man are these bright, cut off is sharp.

they were $80 when i bought them, they don't come with ballasts which were $25 for the pair when i bought them, so in total I now have HID's for $105
I've seen some of the other conversions where other members cut the housing but these were just a drop in, the alignment was perfect requiring no adjustment since there is a plate that aligns in the H4 socket space that aligns the projectors very good.
I have the halos hooked up as my DRL with a switch inside. :cheers:

That's a pretty sweet price. Even if they aren't the premium TRS projectors I'm sure its a great upgrade for $100.

Post up some pics of the light output! I'm really interested in these. What were the ballasts that you bought as well?

Starter contact/plunger replacement
After occasional "clicky" starts. she finally wouldn't wake up at all. Just click, click, click. Knew I couldn't afford a new starter so I ordered a repair kit and proceeded to spend 7ish hours (beer brakes, run to store for PB blaster and breaker bar) getting dirty under the truck myself. Replaced the contacts and plunger, but the hardware looked either newer or just in great shape so I got to reuse those and save some $. Write-ups on here saved my butt. Mostly fumbled with ratchet approach angles, which bolts absolutely had to come out etc. I am by no means a gearhead; slowly learning as I go. As is typical, could do this in a jif now but hope I don't have to for a long while. Biggest pains were replacing the exhaust bracket and dipstick bolts after I threaded them wrong and screwed them in halfway:mmph: oh and the whole one ratchet click at a time thing got old fast...

I've "rebuilt" my starter twice now, about a ~5 year cycle for me since i start / stop so often, fairly straight forward and for ~10$ can't be beat!

filled the done dry washer fluid, fixed the passenger side valve cover leak (first leak), changed the plugs and wires (Toyota parts), PCV valve, upper radiator hose, T-stat, and flushed the radiator fluid, lost a 10mm bolt, cleaned the MAF and Throttle body..... and all before noon.... I'm not normally alive before noon lol. Just have to do the oil change and fuel filter... probably tomorrow.

This is my second set. Get a wire wheel for a drill, and use aircraft remover or air craft stripper if your clear coat is in good shape. That stuff is crazy and melts it right off. Deflate tires down to 2-3 psi, place playing cards between tire and rim, 3 light coats of self etching primary, 3 light coats of your choice of paint. I used 2 12 ounce cans of primer and 2 15 ounce cans of black rust oleum semi gloss. I wish you were closer I'd come help. Any questions pm me. It's a shitload of work but don't cut corners and they will look great for years. Started at 945am and wrapped up at 6pm!! My hands still hurt hahaha
No overspray what so ever, plus te wheels are off the truck so it really doesn't matter.
