That would be pretty sweet for secure gun storage. I bet an AR would fit right in there along with some other goodies.

Yep that was what I was thinking too.

What are you doing to keep the tools from rattling around? I was gona do a similar set up. But the rattling would drive me nuts.

I'll put a piece of matting in the bottom and most of the tools will be in a case or bag, so there shouldn't be stuff rolling around.

I added longer rear sway bar end links from a 94-95 4Runner to help with some unwanted rear sway. I have toytec superflex rear springs, extended travel Bilstein shocks and Sonoran steel adjustable pan hard bar. These end links bolt right up and have solved my problem.

I should probably try this. I ripped off one of my swaybar brackets on the last trail ride. Too much flex, I guess.

BTW I spent many holidays in grass valley. My aunt and uncle lived there for many years.

Thanks, I found it, its from craftsman, lockable with roller bearings. It took me a while to find one that fit.

No kidding, it's a nice place to live. Lots of outdoor things to do.

Got all the parts that I have been buying installed today. I can't say enough good things about home town auto in verona wi. They did a wonderful job with all of the things I didnt have time to tackle. For $348.00 they installed both front wheel bearings, lower ball joints, and the upstream o2 sensor!!! Seriously if anyone else can find a better deal please let me know!!! I am super impressed!

I had read that. Still didn't sway my decision. I'll rip them off entirely if someone wants to give me $300 for 'em, lol.

well sense i blew my back i needed use of the grab handles, and when iwas installing my trans temp gauge i stripped out one of the screws that holds the drivers grab handle i decided it was time to fix this, so i went out to my 95 4runner(my project rig, and pulled one of the screws out of that one and what do ya know, its a match. then i got to thinking... or rigs dont have a grab handle above the drivers door, but all three other doors have them. i felt around up there, and sure enough its pre drilled/tapped for the handle so back out to the 95, i pulled one of the overhead handles and went over to my 97 compared them and bam a perfect match -other than color, tan 95, blue 97... so i pulled all the grab handles off my 97 and cleaned them all up, and painted them with some interior trim/vinyl paint a greyish blue color, its a nice subtle contrast that isnt too much to be distracting or ricer, but i think adds a little and makes you see that something is different but you cant really put a finger on it. anyhow yeah now i have the original A pillar grab handle back and i have an overhead handle now. i feel productive even though im crippled currently.

I like doing those mods that to the "average Joe" look to be OEM, but they aren't. Such as custom badge placement or even OEM badges that didn't originally come on the 4Runner. For example...

Just an FYI in case you want it to match. I was attempting to sell 3rd gen grab handles for just that purpose when someone informed me that you can get a brand new handle for around $5 at the dealer. Never would have thought they would be priced that low from the dealer.
